In addition to a small business tax and consulting practice, I have served as an Interim Chief Financial Officer for closely held and venture backed companies since 1986. Prior to starting my own practice, I was employed by Arthur Young & Company (predecessor to Ernst & Young) from 1976 (as a graduate intern) through 1985. I was a founding member of the firm's Entrepreneurial Services Group whose mission was to identify and serve the next wave of rapidly growing companies.

Prior to joining Arthur Young & Company, I helped to found three distinct enterprises: a non-profit experiential education institute, a 225 acre avocado/kiwi/Hereford cattle farm, and a mobile auto body frame shop.
